South Gloucestershire Local Plan Proposals Map 2006 When the 2006 Local Plan was developed, it contained this map of Tytherington and the surrounding area. Most notably the 'Existing Urban Area & Defined Settlement Boundary' is clearly marked by the dashed black line and both of the 2 main developments now being proposed for the village sit outside of it.
The Rural Settlement & Villages 2015 Topic Paper The housing allocations identified in the Core Strategy have not apparently delivered sufficient houses year on year to meet the targets, so the Council are beginning to look to areas within and adjoining rural villages and settlements as part of the PSP Plan.
